Today’s episode is for anybody who has struggled with body issues or anybody who helps today’s children develop positive attitudes towards their own bodies, especially parents and teachers. Chalene talks with entrepreneur and fitness instructor, Mindy Lawhorne, about her personal struggles with her self-image from childhood. While not the heaviest child in her grade, due to her own perceptions of herself (fueled unintentionally by some in her family), Mindy always felt less than she was actually worth. Her story is ultimately a triumphant one - she’s successful, happy, and has a beautiful family - but, it’s still a good reminder to all of us that what we say to a child can make a big difference in their lives - both positively or negatively. So, listen to Mindy’s story and then make sure you let everyone around you know that they’re loved for who they are.

Chalene is going on the road and taking you with her! (Sorta.) Chalene talks to you about multitasking while she multitasks. Pretty neat, huh? 

When is it appropriate to multitask? When is it NOT appropriate? If you don’t know the answers to these questions, then you might find that you’re spending a lot of time multitasking when you would actually be more productive focusing on one task. For example, what if you check your email while riding a stationary bike? Both activities are something you need to do, but one is physically taxing and the other one requires your mental focus. So there's a perfect opportunity to multitask.

Also, Chalene talks about the importance of combining friends with other important activities - either running, hiking, dancing, making art, whatever. Just find a way get together with your friends/family/spouse and do something together that you would otherwise just do by yourself. Win-win!
